This includes:
1% General Sales Tax (General Fund- Police and Fire account for 81% of the general fund expenses)
.50% Hospital Sales Tax (General Tax- Used only toward hospital bond debt service)
.50% Transportation Sales Tax (Special tax for street improvements, sidewalks, curbs and gutters)
.50% Parks Sales Tax (Special tax for the improvement, operations and maintenance of local parks)
.50% Capital Improvement Tax (Special tax for capital improvement projects such as: public safety equipment, storm drains, storm water facilities, curbs, gutters, sidewalks)
The total sales tax rate in Nevada is currently 8.225% which includes 3% City, 1% County and 4.225% State.
